Single Joint Elevator General Single joint elevator is designed and manufactured in line with API Spec 8C “Specification for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment”, working capacity of single joint elevator can be 5ton and 10ton. Single joint elevator can be available with three models: DDF model, SPL model and DFZ model, DDF model is equal to SPJ model of international famous brand, DFZ model is designed to accormadate one single 18 degree drill pipe and covers pipes from 3½" to 6⅝". Configuration and Description of DDF single joint elevator
SPL Plate type Single Joint Elevator SPL Single joint elevator with safety pin to lock latch was designed to “tail-in” or “lay-down” taper should drill pipes for mousehole connections and allow fast alignment of threads when running drill pipes. SPL type single joint elevators are designed by using of a lifting plug and constructed in two halves of practically the same weight, and have a latch mechanism for the two halves at the center with latch and a safety latch pin combination, SPL single joint elevators are made of high quality alloy steel, heat-treated, and MPI, the rated load are 5t (45kN) and10t (90kN), and cover pipe sizes from 3½" to 6⅝" OD. API monogram in conjunction with numbers, product series numbers are hard die stamped on shoulders of single joint elevators for tracing, and single joint elevators shoulders are die stamped with size of single joint and rated working capacity. Manufacturer’s name plates are provided on bodies of single joint elevators, warranty for single joint elevators are listed in single joint elevator manual.
