Safety Clamps
General
Safety clamps are designed and manufactured as per API Spec 7K "Drilling and Well Servicing Equipment", and can be available with two models, WA model and MP model, WA model safety clamps can be avaialbe with WA-T and WA-C, WA-T safety clamps is designed for small dimension pipes, while WA-C is designed for drill collar or casing; MP safety clamps can be avaialbe with MP-R, MP-M and MP-L models, three models safety clamps can accormordate different dimension of pipes.
WA safety clamps
WA
Safety Clamps helps guard against dropping flush-joint pipes,
streamlined drill collar, etc. into hole while making up or
breaking-out the strings, and give protection against fishing
jobs.
WA Safety clamps consists of individual links that are hinged
together, each link has a separate tapered slip which acts as a
gripping member. The positive automatic gripping principle is
ideal to help safeguard against dropping strings of flush
tubing, to provide a shoulder to position strings of flush line
pipe for welding, and many other applications.
Multi-link design of safety clamps provides uniform pressure
around pipes to minimize the risk of crushing thin-walled pipe
or damaging pipe surface, all parts of safety clamps are made of
alloy steel, heat-treated for strength and gripping ability.
By adding or removing links, safety clamps can handle different
sizes pipes; each link changes the effective working range
approximately 1" in diameter. WA Safety clamps can be available
with WA-T and WA-C models, WA-T Safety Clamps is designed to
handle small diameter pipes range from 1⅛" to 4½", while WA-C
Safety Clamps is designed to handle larger diameter pipes.
